Lunch at Quo Vadis, Gathering Stripe
Lunch at Quo Vadis is a cropped E.M. Reitz shirt celebrating the details of proper shirtmaking. A petite bias binding runs along the feminine jewel neckline, and a twin bias binding circles the armholes, creating a charming and flattering flange at the shoulder. Double shell buttons run down the front of the shirt, serving as functional closures and whimsical decoration. The small tucks in the neckline create room over the bust and shoulder blades without creating volume. The sleeve is long and tubular, ending in a small pleat that tapers at your wrist and closes with double shell buttons. This shirt has internal French seams and a clean turn-back hem that sits at your high hip - ideal for the perfect French tuck in a true-waisted bottom.
The Gathering Stripe is a refined version of the workwear Railroad stripe we are all familiar with. This lightweight denim dresses up or down, equally suited to wear while picking up sticks in the yard or picking up Negronis at a wood paneled bar. A combination of Japanese Indigo and Italian Cotton yarns and given a 45 minute garment wash, this premium denim arrives to your closet feeling perfectly soft and broken in, only getting better with every wash. Because this is a washed garment, and dyed with natural dyes there will be some beautiful puddling in color and barely noticeable measurement variances.
